Streat Prayer Group
Streat Prayer Group meets in someone’s home, usually Mike and Sue Sewell’s home at Southwind in Streat. It is usually held on the first Tuesday of each month, but please check the eBeacon before you set off. It starts at 10:15 and usually lasts about an hour. It is open to anyone from the whole parish who wishes to come, and we have regular participants from outside Streat. We usually have no more than 8 or 10 attendees, but there is no specified limit.
We usually take one of the previous Sunday’s bible readings and go over it in some detail, with people raising any issues that they have, or asking questions about points they would like explained or clarified. Then we have a short time for prayers. The meeting is led by a member of our clergy, either Reverend David or our Reader Colyeen. The meeting concludes with coffee and cakes, and a bit of a natter.
Southwind is on the bridleway that runs from near Streat Church along to Plumpton Racecourse. If you would like to join us either just turn up or call Sue Sewell on 01273 890366 for directions.
