Every year in March, as we emerge from the colder months and look forward to some longer days, the PCC organises a special community event: we welcome all into St Margaret's Church in Ditchling to enjoy some warming homemade soups and delicious crusty bread, prepared and served by our small army of volunteers.

It is a perfect weekend opportunity to meet old friends and to make new ones, as we lay out tables in our side chapel and chancel areas and provide a warm and welcoming environment to mix and mingle. We are always amazed and delighted at the quality of the soups which our volunteers prepare, which include meat and vegetarian options, old favourites and new ideas!

Do come and join us - a modest entry fee is charged, to cover the cost of the ingredients and a small contribution to the Church. Souper Saturday profits are always given to a charity chosen by the PCC. Look on our website for details of our 2025 event!

Souper Saturday, 19 March 2022, raised an amazing £1,200 towards supporting the victims of Ukraine thanks to the generosity of so many kind people who joined us for the occasion. Full write-up coming soon.

Here are just a few photos.

Many thanks to you all.
