The Beacon Parish

 

The Beacon Parish Youth Work, has been forming and evolving over the last six years and as a result we need your help to fund all these amazing things that we do.

​

One of our main focuses is working in St Margarets primary school where I run assemblies across the whole school, an amazing youth group for the upper years which always has a waiting list and the activities are creative and with lots of fun and games. We have also been running prayer spaces and each year these have grown and helped the school with prayer life and also helping with just having that time out of the busy school schedule to reflect on different parts of their lives.

On a Tuesday evening we run a youth group which again is full of fun activities and crafts and the young people love their time at the group to catch up with friends while doing some fun things (we do love a bit of cooking).

We also have lots of joint activities with our neighbouring Parish which includes an after schools drop in, a food bank, one of the big joint events is May Camp but the biggest thing we have jointly run was our Youth Bible Study which sees 12 young people come together from both Parishes to explore faith and ask the big questions that we all may have.

 

Supporting this fundraising and by making a donation you will help this amazing work carry on and seeing the young people’s lives being shaped in a Christian way as they grow knowing that they are loved and cared for by this Christian community.
